Life insurance quotes

Compare life insurance quotes with the assumptions in view.

Request term life or other life insurance options from Aligned Path. We review the coverage you want, the information behind the estimate, and the differences that matter before you apply.

What a life insurance quote tells you

A quote is an estimate of the premium for a specified policy, coverage amount, and applicant profile. For term life, the duration and guaranteed premium period belong in that estimate too. The price depends on assumptions about health, tobacco use, and other information the carrier will review.

You can request estimates before a formal application. A quote does not establish eligibility, lock in a rate class, or put coverage in force. The carrier determines the offer after reviewing the application and the evidence it requires.

Compare the same coverage across carriers

Start with the amount and duration the plan calls for. If you want several amounts or term lengths, list them in the request. Compare each combination separately so a shorter term or smaller benefit does not look like a better price for the same protection.

Price is one part of the comparison. We explain material policy differences and the information still needed to evaluate a carrier option. Access varies by product, state, and case; a multi-carrier request does not mean every insurer will be available or suitable.

What to include in your request

Include the amounts and terms you want compared, plus the health history the form requests. If the coverage need is still open, say so.

If an advisor has already sized the need, use those assumptions. If you are starting on your own, the life insurance planning guide explains what to consider before choosing an amount. Existing policies and employer coverage may change how much additional insurance is needed.

Health history or an unexpected carrier decision? Request a health-profile review so the preliminary discussion can account for that context. An estimate that assumes excellent health may be a poor starting point for your case.

From quote request to carrier decision

  1. We review the request. Within two business days, we identify any missing information needed for the comparison. Carrier underwriting can take longer.
  2. You review the options and assumptions. Compare available estimates, policy differences and the assumptions behind each price. Some cases need further information or carrier feedback first.
  3. You choose whether to apply. Underwriting may require records, an exam or other evidence. The carrier’s offer may differ from the estimate, or coverage may be declined.
  4. You review the final offer. Confirm the premium, policy terms and requirements to put coverage in force. Review any replacement and confirm new coverage is in force before canceling an existing policy.

You can work with us directly or through your advisor. The request form records your contact preferences and advisor involvement.

Term life comparison worksheet

Use the same person, coverage amount and term for both options. Mark unknowns “to confirm.”

Estimates, offers and issued policies

Preliminary estimate
A price based on assumptions, subject to carrier review.
Underwritten offer
Carrier-reviewed terms. Check outstanding requirements and the offer deadline.
Issued contract
Verify the policy, riders, effective date and required payment or acceptance steps. Issuance alone does not confirm coverage is in force.

Coverage and price

Death benefit
Use the same coverage amount. Compare each term length or coverage ladder separately.
Term and guarantee
Record the coverage duration and the guaranteed premium period separately. Ask what coverage and premiums look like afterward.
Rate class
Copy the carrier’s class label and tobacco category. Mark whether they are assumed or confirmed by underwriting; labels alone do not establish equivalent criteria.
Premium basis
Record the amount, payment frequency, total yearly outlay, and any policy fees, rider costs or extra charges. Compare the same payment basis.

Documents and assumptions

Document and date
Name the carrier and product, the source document, its date, and the page or section supporting the entry. Track any quote or offer expiration.
Application assumptions
Check the age used for pricing, state, tobacco category and material assumptions with the broker. Keep detailed health records out of this worksheet.

Policy rights and open items

Conversion rights
Record whether conversion is available, its deadline or age limit, eligible products, partial-conversion rules, and any rider needed to extend the right. Verify the actual contract wording.
Riders and conditions
List material riders, costs, benefit triggers, limits and exclusions. Record outstanding evidence, delivery requirements, amendments or other conditions with a person and date for follow-up.

Compare conversion rights against the planning need; the option alone is not a reason to buy permanent coverage.
