In-Force Policy Triage
Answer a short set of questions about an existing life, disability, or long-term care policy. The screen identifies review flags, explains which answers raised them, and lists documents to check. It cannot establish that a policy is adequate or that it should be changed. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you enter leaves it.
Review your own policy or help a client decide what to check next. You can contact us about the result. For life insurance, see the review process and starting records.
Request a policy reviewWhat to check as a policy ages
An existing policy may need a review when the original need changes. For term life, check the level premium end date and any conversion deadline. For universal life, compare current funding and guarantees with the latest statement and, where useful, an in-force illustration. For disability coverage, compare the benefit with current income and other benefits. For long-term care, read any premium-increase notice and its response deadline.
The screen points to facts worth checking in those documents. It does not replace a review of the contract or the client’s circumstances.
How the triage works
Each line asks about facts an advisor or client can check, such as the remaining level premium period, policy funding, an increase rider, or inflation protection. Answers can add a review reason at one of two levels. The highest level reached sets the screening result. When an answer is uncertain, the tool identifies a document to pull.
A flag is a reason to look closer. It is not an instruction to replace the policy. A result with no flags means only that the selected answers did not trigger this screen’s review rules.
